See Your Worth
The price of oil determines how much we pay for gasoline, affects the price of food, and even impacts global economy.
Just as the sticker value of oil dramatically affects our world—so also the worth we place on ourselves—affects every area of our lives.
We need a clear image of our worth. For we live out our lives as we see ourselves to be. When we see our worth, everything else shifts—automatically.
There is a story in the Bible about a child, who walked away from home, and then spent all of his inheritance for a temporary high.
When his money ran out—so called friends left as well. He found himself alone, knee-deep in mud, feeding pigs, and desperately hungry.
At his lowest point, this prodigal began to reason that he was worth more than that! One ah-ha moment—of seeing his worth—immediately shifted all areas of his life.
Prodigal began a new life path; a journey of uncovering his great worth, name, and destiny. He went home to a father who had never stopped loving, looking for, and determining him to be of great worth.
As the prodigal saw his worth, he began to also see more clearly the worth of others, and the worth of life.
Today, wherever you are, I encourage you to take a good look at the labels you have placed on yourself.
Our worth is not determined by our mistakes.
We have a creator—a heavenly Father—who continues to care about us. We can’t change the good, good, Father’s love for us. His label still has determined that we are of great worth.
Your life is worth much more than stress and worry each day. If you are lonely, friendless, and desperately hungry; come to yourself. You are worth more than that.
See your worth.
